Rational Asset Manager is here!

I’m thrilled to announce that Rational Asset Manager (RAM) has joined the Jazz community here on

If you’re not already familiar with RAM, I invite you to visit our project page. If you’re an existing user, I think you’ll enjoy having direct access to our development team and other community members.

Rational Asset Manager (RAM) was first brought to market in late 2007. The next two years saw numerous enhancements and use by customers all over the world. Last year we released version 7.2, which began our evolution to Jazz technology by using Rational Team Concert to power our asset lifecycles.

The Enterprise C/ALM with Asset Management scenario explores the linkage between Rational Asset Manager and other development tools such as Rational Team Concert, Rational Requirements Composer, Rational Software Architect, and Build Forge. RAM 7.2 supports creating links to assets for new or existing work items in Rational Team Concert. You can see this in action in our video for managing a release, or see some of the enhanced integration in our what’s new video.

Today, we released Rational Asset Manager! You can learn all about what’s new, and download the product. We invite you to track our progress — your direct feedback is invaluable.

On behalf of the entire team, we hope you love RAM and we look forward to collaborating with you.
