The Journey to GA via Downloads

If you have been logging our journey or were along for the ride through the early access program, you will know that our long, and maybe sometimes strange, trip has come to a close: Rational Team Concert 1.0 has arrived and is available on the new Downloads page.

The last leg of the trip included a considerable overhaul to the previous Downloads page. I won’t burden you with the details of how we got from Point A to Point B, instead I thought it would be fun to show you what Point A looked like then give you a brief tour of Point B, the final destination.

Point A

Point B
A significant change from earlier downloads is the addition of editions: Express-C, Express, and Standard, each designed to suit the varying needs and sizes of teams using Rational Team Concert. These editions are now featured on the Featured Downloads page.

If you are on a return visit to this page, you will appreciate the fast path to each download with the large “Download” buttons for each edition. If you are new to Rational Team Concert, the Featured Downloads page is useful to you as well, to see what the features are at a glance and to guide your decision making.

You might also want to visit the Getting Started page, which provides basic steps and guidance for getting up and running with the product.

If you are looking for alternatives and want to see the full list of downloads, including alternatives to the Web Install offered on the Featured Downloads page, or you want to access the Incubators or Source Code, check out the All Downloads page.

And finally, if you are upgrading from a previous version to the GA-level release, you will want to visit the Upgrading page.

Let us know if you have any issues, or even drop us a line if your download excursion went well and you arrived safely.
