Attention: IBM Rational Lifecycle Integration Adapter users connecting to Jira in the Atlassian Cloud

Atlassian recently introduced a number of changes to their products and APIs in order to improve user privacy in accordance with GDPR. These changes will require all RLIA customers integrating Jira Cloud or Zephyr Cloud to upgrade their version of RLIA. Most RLIA customers who integrate with Jira use an On-Premise Jira deployment and are not affected by these changes.

How do you know if you are using Jira Cloud or Jira On-Premise?
If your instance of Jira uses an Atlassian URL (e.g. https://yoursitename.atlassian.net), then you are using Jira Cloud rather than Jira On-Premise, and you will need to upgrade RLIA.

Customers using Jira Cloud
You must upgrade RLIA to one of the following versions – or a newer version – before April 29th, 2019:

  • RLIA 1.2.0.9 (released January 22nd)
  • RLIA iFixes for 1.2.0.5-1.2.0.9 (released on or after February 6th)

Customers using Zephyr Cloud
You must upgrade RLIA to one of the following versions – or a newer version – before April 29th, 2019:

  • RLIA 1.2.0.10 (available April 23rd)
  • RLIA iFixes for 1.2.0.6-1.2.0.9 (released on or after March 26th)

How do customers upgrade?
IBM’s business partner Tasktop has been working diligently to provide clear and complete guidance and instructions to make this upgrade as smooth and simple as possible.  RLIA is based on the Tasktop Sync technology, so please refer to the instructions for Tasktop Sync and not Tasktop Integration Hub.  Detailed guidance and instructions are available here.

As always, we greatly appreciate your feedback!
