We are glad to announce that the Rational Asset Manager (RAM) 7.5.3.1 fix pack is now available for download on jazz.net!
This release contains quality improvements in terms of fixes for customer submitted defects, documentation, and installation. The Artifacts Upload capability has also been improved in this release. This capability now relies on a JavaScript implementation that supports modern browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, which do not support plug-in based architectures such as Java Applets.
While the new Artifacts Upload capability retains all of the existing functionality, such as the ability to upload large files and the auto-restart of file transfers interrupted by network disruptions, it also introduces a richer look-and-feel while also providing usability improvements such as support for drag-and-drop to upload artifacts. This enhanced capability will allow RAM to move a step closer to replace the applet technology. This will enable full support for the modern browsers.
The primary focus area for the RAM development team in 2017 has been Client Care, which involves resolving customer issues and addressing key customer Request for Enhancements (RFE).
The Rational Asset Manager development team is now planning for the next release of Rational Asset Manager. If you have enhancement requests, be sure to raise RFEs on IBM developerWorks forum. If you have an issue, raise a Problem Management Record (PMR) on the IBM Support channel. If you would like to engage with us to discuss strategic direction and needs, contact joseph.londa@hcl.com. We would be happy to connect with you to understand your business case and requirements.
We look forward to your continued support and feedback!
