CC CQ RTC Bridge with Visual Studio

Yuval Zaltz (1134) | asked Dec 11 '12, 7:17 a.m.
We are evaluating ClearCase RTC Bridge.
Where you can associate an activity to a work Item (e.g. during Checkout operation)
According to the documentation I have, this is only enabled in Eclipse Client environment.

Do anyone know if this association Can happen on Visual Studio IDE?
If not is it on IBM road map?

Hi.  I'm Howie Bernstein (hbernstein@us.ibm.com), the product manager for ClearCase, ClearQuest, and their integrations with RTC and Jazz.  Supporting the Visual Studio IDE is most definitely on the roadmap.  This week we plan to start supporting the ClearCase RTC bridge integration from Visual Studio in a very limited release.  Please contact me for details.  We intend to support it for general release in the near future.

Thanks,

Howie

Dear Howard

I'm a base ClearCase'er no UCM and not so familiar with the CC bridge setup, I have installed the Eclipse client for RTC 4.0.1, ClearCase 8.0.0.4 client + CTE, but could not do any association so far.

Hello Juergen,

Have you watched this demonstration video? The later half shows how to associate base ClearCase versions.

Also, the installation step for RTC4.0.x+CTE8.0.0.x is described in this page:
