Hello all,

Just wondering, if anyone in a mixed environment has seen less issues with DB2 vs SQL Server. Or if there are any performance gains on one DB vs the other.

thanks

Sterling,

although DB2 is always better (I have to say that), we suggest users to stick with the DBMS that they know best and have the resources to maintain. I am not aware of any performance comparisons and since there are also differences in the performance for different flavors of DB2 I am not sure if these numbers would be of any value.

Hello Sterling,

in my opinion one advantage of DB2, not strictly technical or performance related, is that I think this is the DBMS on which jazz.net is running. This means that DB2 specific issues are more likely to be found and fixed early compared to the other DBMS due to the heavy usage as soon as a new release is out

Best Regards,

Francesco Chiossi.
