RRC (Converter.war) issue

Qaiser Islam (31287074) | asked Nov 14 '12, 4:38 a.m.
Hi,

I upgrade the server from 3.0.1 to 4.0.0.1 but after upgrade i am not able open or create graphical artifacts in RRC.

ID CRRRW8010E The converter application encountered an error that prevented the graphical content from being created or retrieved. This is usually caused by a configuration error for the converter application. It may have missing dependencies or was not started correctly. Ask your administrator to verify the converter application was correctly installed and configured.

i followed this forum thread
https://jazz.net/forum/questions/66920/crrrw8010e-a-server-error-prevented-the-generation-of-the-c and based on suggestion i verified the property file. everything looks good but still i am getting the error.

I am using WAS 8.0.0.3 installed on Windows 2008 64 Bit

Thanks,
Qaiser

One possible reason for the problem is that the WAS wstemp and temp directories were not cleared before the upgrade steps.  Those directories should be located in the app server profile directory.

You can undeploy the converter application, stop WAS, clear those directories, restart WAS and re-deploy the 4.0.0.1 converter app.
