RQM 5.0.2 - Categories based on team area

VK L (8177157159) | asked Mar 17 '15, 11:20 a.m.
Hi All,
RQM 5.0.2 - I am looking to create categories or sub-categories based on team-areas, so that the new categories are applicable for artifacts tagged to respective team area only.

Is this possible using plugin or some customizations?

Please advise.

The categories are on the project area level only with no relationship to the team areas.  However, consider a category "Team Area" with values of all the team areas.  Create a sub-category "Team Categories" so that each value in "Team Area" can have its own "Team Categories" values.  The users will need to select a "Team Area" category first for an artifact then select the associated "Team Categories".

The down side is that the "Team Area" category has to be manually set and there is maintenance to keep the "Team Area" category and the actual team areas in sync.

Thanks Paul. This would be an extra manual tagging - Since actual team-area is used for access restriction, this additional category is not useful unless it automatically reads the chosen team area.
