Ask a question

What are the performance considerations of full WAS deployment vs. WebSphere Liberty? We have a full enterprise topology. Can we safely switch to Liberty?

It seems to me that deployment and maintenance are a bit easier with Liberty.

Is the throughput the same on each?

Are there any other considerations?

We are on Windows Server 2012 with Active Directory auth.  Each application is on it's own VM (JTS, CCM, RM, QM).

Another important consideration is that RTC clustering (new feature in 6.0.4) is only supported on Liberty, not on full WAS.
