Can I import comments with a CSV in RRC?

Steven Witty (736) | asked Jun 05 '14, 4:50 a.m.

I'd like to be able to import a prepared CSV containing requirements, that also includes a "Comments" column, which when imported, will put the comments from my CSV into the "Comments" section of my requirement in RRC.

Is this possible? I've tried using a "Comments" and a "Comment" header in my CSV but I'm getting a message along the lines of:

The following attributes were not imported:
Column: Comment
Reason: NOT_FOUND

I can't find an attribute called Comments, which might explain it, but if there's a way to import requirements from a CSV that includes Comments, and anyone knows how to, I'd be very grateful.

Steve

Hi Steve,
I don't think importing artifact comments using a CSV file is possible.  This sounds like a good candidate for an enhancement request.  I know the documentation says comments cannot be imported using ReqIF either.

But when importing a document, RRC can use comments in a document and convert them to a comment in RRC.  This might not be what you're looking for, but it's a way to import comments into RRC.

Thank you Erica, that is as I suspected. Sadly no, I do not plan on using documents, CSV is by far the best way for me.

I may just add the comments to a different attribute.

Thank you for the speedy confirmation :)
