Hi Daniel,
Thanks for replying and for the links. One of your links above referred us to a PDF file (https://jazz.net/library/content/articles/doors/4.0.1/which-rm-tool/which-rm-tool.pdf) which states,
Users of either Rational DOORS NG or Rational Requirements Composer licenses can access the same RM repository, use the same RM web UI, and access the same project data, for example: shared enterprise requirements.Looks like you can use the Rational DOORS NG rich client and access the RM repository.
Yes that's right. the DOORS NG 4.0.1 rich client will work when the user has a RRC Analyst license. It's best to treat this as a trial or pilot configuration, and if you decide to deploy in production with the DOORS NG rich client, you should purchase DOORS NG licenses or ask your IBM seller or business partner to help you migrate your existing RRC licenses to DOORS NG. I say this, because (1) the DOORS NG rich client is currently licensed (paper license) as part of DOORS NG, not RRC, and (2) we haven't committed to maintaining exact feature equality in the RRC and DOORS NG licenses in all future releases (though I do expect we will maintain the ability of RRC and DOORS NG license holders to use the same project data).
