Why does the @workpath@ directory need an extra 500 cyls for a 64bit JVM? Should one use the 31bit or 64bit jvm and why?

Donald - I assume you are referring to the JCL comments in BLZCPBTK and I believe this comment is incorrect.  I filed Fix JCL references (in particular in BLZCPBTK) that state that 500 MB extra is needed for 64 bit JVM (238321) to fix it. 

The JVM choice for build is up to your preference (for example, if the customer only has 31 or 64 bit installed).  If there are no other considerations, I'd probably go with 64 bit.
