ItemId generated in Jazz repository

Vibha Sinha (1643610) | asked Oct 14 '09, 3:38 p.m.
Is the ItemId attribute generated by the Jazz framework a globally unique identifier ?

Example - <values>

It would be also good to know the approach used to generate this identifier.

Thanks a lot

Yes. you are right.
Each item in the repository has a unique item id, which can be used as a key to retrieve it. In fact, the item ids are universally unique identifiers (UUIDs), so that an item created in one repository can be replicated to another repository and retain its identity.
