Krzysztof Kaźmierczyk (7.5k480103) | asked Apr 08 '13, 10:32 a.m.
Hello all,
I am trying to create new report in BIRT. When I run it (in report designer) I get following error message:

TextData (id = 120):
+ Cannot execute the statement.
CRJAZ1316I Illegal read access: User "PLY99C99@pl.ibm.com" attempted to read item(s) having the following type(s): ProjectArea

This happens when I am attempting to display Enumerations table
I have performed all steps from Rafik presentation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRQXF3bBLG4&noredirect=1

I am member of given jazz.net project area and have admin role.
What is wrong?

any help appreciated.

Can you send your template? Thanks.

Hi Clement,
I don't know how to attach the template to this forum entry. Are you interested in any particular section of the template you would like to receive?

JAZZ DEVELOPER
  1. What is the RTC version you are using?
  2. Verify that you have sufficient permissions to run a report.
  3. Is there a pattern...this happens only with this project area or every?

Krzysztof Kaźmierczyk commented Apr 09 '13, 2:54 a.m.

Hi Ankur,
1. 3.0.1.2
2. What are particular permissions needed? What should I check?
3. I have tried 2 another PAs and have the same issue.

Hi Krzysztof,

I am guessing that you might have missed assigning a license to this user as you haven't mentioned in your original post.

I have "Rational Team Concert - Developer" license and "JazzUsers" permissions. What should I add there?

Indradri Basu commented Apr 09 '13, 4:36 a.m.

That should suffice. Did you configured Team areas with different permissions here?

Krzysztof Kaźmierczyk commented Apr 09 '13, 5:24 a.m.

Hello,
What do you mean by different permissions for Team areas? I thought, that repository permissions and team area permissions is something different.

OK I fixed that. I was checking for enums for wrong project area. Anyway the message is misleading.
