[RDNG v6.0.1] Unable to use Shared Tags in a project's baseline; don't replicated to change sets

Evening!

We updated to RDNG v6.0.1 and with it we disabled all write permissions to the stream/baseline of each project. What resulted is that users cannot apply a shared/public tag to an artifact and have that tag show in a change set.
Is there a work around known for this?
