Attribute Data Types

A client has requirements specifications that need attribute data types which will be linked to artifact attribute and types. When I add the attribute data type, I get this error message below.

These are the steps I'm following in RM:

1. Select Artifacts

2. Manage Project Properties

3. Artifact Types

4. Select Requirements Specifications

5. Attribute Data Types

6. Select New Data Types

7. Enter Name

8. Enter Description

9. Kind of value: enumerated

10. Base Data Type: integer

11. Enter the value :BIM: Business Operation

12. Hit Save

The server does not permit the attempted operation.

If you have correct and up-to-date licenses and are an administrator, check the fronting.properties file in the /server/conf/rm directory to ensure that the file contains the correct server name and port number. If you are not an administrator, ask a server administrator to check the fronting.properties file.

What version are you using? I followed your steps and did not see anything abnormal - the new data type was created.

No problems with this version. Can you post a screen shot somewhere (not this forum) showing what's been done just before you hit Save?
