Bar chart for Work Item viewlet does not provide Large String type attribute as an available parameter?

Raj Asthana (826) | asked Nov 03 '15, 4:09 a.m.
I am adding a Work Item Statistics viewlet onto a Dashboard (RTC 4.0.0.5).  I set presentation to Bar Chart and select the query.  We want the Parameter to be the "XYZ created as Large String type, but "XYZ" attribute is not an available parameter.  Is this a restriction that we cannot use any Large String type values?  If so, is there any workaround for this?

Thanks for your kind help.

Hi Raj,

I believe this is a known limitation.

The widget grouping parameter can only be based on certain attribute types (such as enumeration based, Contributor, category, deliverable, etc).

Other attribute types will be hidden (such as Large String, HTML, Long, etc)

Hi Alexandre,
Thanks for your reply.
But i have seen the short string type of attribute parameter as an available parameter.
is there another way to available Large string type of attribute parameter?

Thanks in advance for your valuable suggestion.

Kind Regards,
Raj

 Hi Raj,

You are correct. Small and Medium string attribute types are listed as a valid parameter (I have edited my previous response). The limitation seems to be specific for Large String in addition to the other attribute types I mentioned in my last message.

I could not find a way to make it available for selection.
