How can I get caret (^) characters to save properly in RTC web client?

Neal McKegney (551422) | asked Oct 27 '15, 9:58 a.m.
When copying a circumflex (caret) character (^), from an IBM Knowledge Center for instance, and pasting it into a discussion item in RTC, the circumflex (caret) character (^) is converted into a "MODIFIER LETTER CIRCUMFLEX ACCENT" (ˆ).

This caused some issues as users inadvertently copied the "bad" character into a Regex string and got unexpected results.

My RTC server is 5.0.2.  I've tried on windows and osx clients in IE, firefox.  Cannot reproduce in eclipse

When you say discussion item -- do you mean a work item?

I've tried reproducing in a work item in Firefox and Chrome, but both show the caret correctly.

yes, a work item.  It pastes in fine, but when you save the character is converted
