Process Template export -- what comes and what does not.
I installed a CLM Lifecycle project:
Formal Template Traditional Reqs Template QM Template. I then (RTC) created: Teams Queries Dashboards Permissions Categories Releases Work Item Type Work flow changes In DNG: Folders 3 Requirement Templates In RQM New Test Plan Template New Test Case Template Can I export the process template for all of these and keep the same configurations? I have not read on anyone exporting DNG or RQM customizations. Also, I was wondering if, during exporting, that certain things are exported, and others are ignored. |

Hello,
During process template export, the process configuration XML, process role definition information and process attachments are exported. Artifacts within a project area are not exported. Team structure is not exported. However, if teams are created as part of the project area initialization, that information will be exported so that the next time a project area is created from the template, the same teams would be created. Queries and dashboards are not exported. However, if a query is listed as a "Predefined query", it will be included. Likewise, the dashboard templates defined in the "Dashboards" section of the configuration data will be exported. So, when a new project area is created from the template, the dashboard for the project area will be created as defined in the template. Releases and Categories are not exported. Permissions, work item types and work flow are exported (they are all part of the process specification XML). Ruby Martha (Ruby) Andrews Jazz Foundation L3 Development Team Lead |
Mahari, for DNG these posts probably help:
Templates generated in DNG Best practice to create a RM project |
In RQM, when extract process template,
New Test Plan Template New Test Case Template will be retained. |
Hi,
As part of the RTC export process, I assume that it does not include dashboards as these are not part of the process xml?
Many Thanks in advance

Dashboards and work items are no longer publicly available, so some links may be invalid. We now provide similar information through other means. Learn more here.
