Chart with P2 version vs RTC version?

Susan Hanson (1.6k2201194) | asked Feb 09 '15, 6:43 p.m.
Is there a chart somewhere that shows the P2 (eclipse plugin) versions against the RTC version?  For example, I have someone who has an Eclipse Plugin version of 3.0.1.6 and I need to understand what "RTC version" that maps to, like 4.0.0.1?

I also have one that is 3.1.600.v201310.... and it says that is 4.0.5?

Susan, as far as I know the only source for such a chart would be the systems requirements (from the download page of each version). They explain which Eclipse versions are supported - P2 or not P2.

It is less about which Eclipse version and more about the internal RTC numbering.

We are moving up to 5.0.2 soon and we need to ensure everybody in our organization is at least at 4.0.3 in their RTC client (lowest supported per our hosting team).  But my team is having some issues knowing what level of RTC they are at.

For example, I have an RTC Eclipse client (full client) which says "4.0.5".  I also have the plugin in an existing Eclipse.  If I look at "About Eclipse SDK" and click the little RTC Icon (I am running Juno), it says the RTC Feature is version 3.1600.v20131026_0127 (and below says 4.0.5).  But if I do Installed Software and look at the Rational Team Concert Client Feature, my version says "4.4.0.RTC-KI20131025-2055"

So how do I know that 3.1600.v20131026_0127  is the same as  4.4.0.RTC-KI20131025-2055 (or maybe it isn't) and those both are RTC 4.0.5?

In this case the question should rather be, how do I know which version of RTC am I running. If you have a vanilla Eclipse with RTC P2 install, click Help>About Eclipse (About Rational Team Concert in a vanilla RTC, About Something Else in case of another Eclipse based product). You see the installed features:

Click on the RTC symbol and carefully inspect the result. At the bottom you should see the Version/Release number of RTC.
