Under RQM v4.0.6, we are unable to generate dashboard report using the widget Test Case by
Test Environment(Live). Please find attached screenshot. Any inputs on why this error occurs ??

You may have got a similar issue as this one:
https://jazz.net/forum/questions/157200/error-during-running-newly-deployed-report
Try the steps there, just replace "ccm" with "qm".

Hi Rajesh,

There is a server advanced property for reports: "Maximum Record Count" that sets the maximum number of records that can be read on a query.  If that number is exceeded the error will be displayed.  The recommendation would be to either tune the parameters of the report so it returns less records or increase the value of that property.  An issue with increasing the value could be low performance since users will be allowed to run huge queries that can end up affecting everybody.

Thank you,
Clara

Hi Rajesh,

What values have you tried for the mentioned properties? You can change Maximum Record Count to -1, so it will allow the maximum number of records, but then it will hurt the performance of the application for everybody.  Have you tried changing the parameters so less records are selected?

Thanks Clara

Interestingly, we only have total record count as 9 in this case. So do you still suggest that setting the Maximum Record Count to -1 would be helpful ??
Also is there any other report same as "Test Case by Test Environment(Live)", giving similar report output ?

Hi Rajesh,

I don't understand what you mean by "we only have total record count as 9 in this case".  Does it mean that the report returns only 9 records? or does it mean that the property is set at "9"?  If it seems to be an issue with the customer's environment, please open an escalation so we can gather all the necessary information.

Thanks,
Clara
