i have created a document (an artifact) in design management and want to export it so that in can use this document in future (like we do in RRC)

any help would be appreciated

This is the Design Manager infocenter: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/rdmhelp/v4/index.jsp
I don't see an export option.  Design Manager provides a way to collaborate on designs and models thru reviews, comments and also provides traceability with the rest of the application and engineering lifecycles. You can link the design document with Requirements specifications in RRC, for example.
