RRC Artifact Data Type Values corrupt after upgrade from release 4.0.1 to 4.0.5

Chris Lockard (2549) | asked Mar 04 '14, 11:09 a.m.

In 4.0.1, we created an Artifact Attribute and Attribute Data Type called Request Status, with some enumerated value labels that overlap with the values for the standard "Status" Artifact Attribute. Labels like Approved, Draft, Rejected existed for both Attribute Data Types.  After we upgraded to Release 4.0.5, those duplicate enumerated values now only exist in one or the other of the "Status" and "Request Status" data types.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

If the upgrade process did corrupt the type system as you described, I suggest you open a support ticket so that the type system can be repaired. Note that if the what you described is true, you will not be able to show the existing attribute values no matter what you do in the "Manager Project Properties" page. You may be tempted to add the values back in the Attribute Data Types page - don't do it, since it will not work.

We will open a PMR on this.

We can view the Attribute Data Types, and it lists the Values/Labels.  However, the list of values is only a subset of what should be present, and they are no longer sequentially numberer 0-N.  Instead, they are randomly arranged, like 8,2,4,3, etc.
