Is CLM on SLES 10 with WAS 7 and RRDI on SLES 11 with WAS 8 supported?

Ken Murphy (1033436) | asked Feb 20 '14, 6:48 p.m.
We have JTS/RTC/RQM/RRC installed on SLES 10 servers with WAS v7 patched to the latest fixpacks.  We would like to install RRDI on a SLES 11 server with WAS v8 (not 8.5).  Is this supported?  Or, do we need to install RRDI on a SLES 10 server with WAS v7?

Hello Ken,

as long as the WAS and SLES versions are supported separately for the CLM and RRDI installation they don't need to be the same.

You can find the system requirements for CLM 4.0.5 here (if you plan to install a different version at the top of the page there are the links for the older releases):

System Requirements for Collaborative Lifecycle Management 4.0.5
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/CLMSystemRequirements405406

On this specific case:
CLM 4.0.5 on SLES 10 / WAS v7 (minimum 7.0.0.29) = OK
RRDI 2.0.5 on SLES 11 / WAS v8 (minimum 8.0.0.6) = OK

Thank you, Francesco.  Although the system requirements did not indicate that we couldn't do this, they also did not specifically indicate that we could do this. We appreciate the clarification.
