Rational Insight Access Control

I want to know if a folder control access mechanism can be defined for the Insight Public folders.
I know that we can define access control by role, but also, I want to limit user access in public folders.
I want to implement a mechanisms where a user can access some folders and other folders don't (If can't see them, better).
Is that possible?

Yes, definitely.  I wrote a whitepaper a while back on Cognos security.  See sections 6 and 7 (specifically 7.5) for controlling access to objects at the user level.  Here is a link to the paper.  Hope it helps,
