What is the Database Table Space Folder? Is there any sizing information for DBA?

Sumant Renukarya (1.1k23339) | asked Jul 22 '13, 4:56 a.m.

What is the Database Table Space Folder used for? Who needs access to this and what sort of permissions do they need ? Can you indicate what is stored here - the DBA wants a rough idea of how big it will get? Does it need to be backed up ?

Can you advise on the size expectations for the "Database Table Space Folder" - does it grow to 10 %, 20%, 100%, 200% of the DW SQL database content - Is there any sizing information available for this to advise the DBA ?

Hello Sumant,

maybe the "old" sizing RQM Guide helps: https://jazz.net/library/article/720/

or the "old"  CLM sizing Guide helps: https://jazz.net/library/article/814/

System Requirements: https://jazz.net/library/article/1109/

Regards,

Thomas
