Message of the day on dashboard and admin front pages: possible?

Hello,

With latest CLM 4.0.1, is it possible for Jazz Administrator to post a message for the day so that every user can see it right after the user logs in?

This would be very helpful for notifying users of major changes or events related to the Jazz/CLM servers etc.

Thanks and regards

Frank

Hi Frank,
The Headlines dashboard widget (available in the Change and Configuration Management catalog) allows you to write messages.

Hi Lauren,

Sorry, I was just able to try it. It works great. Thanks a lot.

One thought though, this will be only useful if users added the "Headlines" widget. Otherwise they won't be able to see headlines. I could add it to the project area's dashboard template. However, user's personal dashboard may not include it.

Is there any way to post some headline without the need of a widget? That is, any user will see it right after the user logged in a project's top page?

Thanks and regards

Hi Frank,

You're right in that users will only see it if you add it to the project dashboard.

I personally don't know of a way to post a headline without a widget, but it may be possible.
