Rational Asset Manager 7.5.1 using Rational Team Concert

Alberto Teodoro (6632438) | asked Sep 17 '12, 11:33 a.m.
Hi,
I've Rational Asset Manager 7.5.1 and CLM 4.0.
Can I use for Rational Asset Manager the instance of Team Concert (CCM 4.0) included in CLM 4.0 or I have to integrate Jazz Server, adding it as friend Server, after the completion of RAM installation?
Thank you very much in advance
Alberto

7.5.1 does not support CLM 4 at all. CLM 4 was just a glimmer in the eye of the developers when 7.5.1 came out.

7.5.1.1 will support CLM 4 only as OSLC linked workitems in attributes of assets and dashboard widgets.

In the help for 7.5.1.1 see RAM Integrating with Jazz Servers for the description of what 7.5.1.1 can do with CLM.

You will require the latest 7.5.1.1 testfix to work with CLM 4. CLM 4 was not yet complete when 7.5.1.1 went out and some fixes needed to go into 7.5.1.1 afterwards to work with CLM 4.

Hi Richard, thank you very much. I checked my RAM version and I have 7.5.1.1: so I can have the integration with Jazz Server.

I would like to know, apart from the integration, if I can use also the "same" Team Concert 4.0 instance both in CLM4.0 and RAM 7.5.1.1. Thank you very much Alberto

RAM's internal RTC at 7.5.1.1 is still 2.0.0.2. RAM's integration to CLM 4 (which is Team Concert 4) is through the links within an asset, as explained in the help about integrating with Jazz Servers. Though you will need the latest 7.5.1.1 testfix because of a change in CLM 4 between when 7.5.1.1 went out and when CLM 4 officially released later.
