Jazz 5 Setup error with MSSQL 2008 ID CRJAZ1582E

Hello,

I'm using the custom installation of jazz 5.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and when I try to create the tables for the jts I get this error: jts error

Are you using MS SQL Server 2008 R2 or later? That's what is in the system requirements.

Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition 2008 R2 and yes is in the system requirements as Supported

The error message seems to suggest that only SQL Server 2012(11.x in the message) is supported but not 2008 server SR2(10.5.x in the message). The system requirements do say that SQL server 2008 SR2 and later supported. Unless there is doc defect(sometimes it does happen), this looks an issue in v5.0. I see another report on the same error when using SQL 2008 Server R2 and it is under investigation currently. There is no conclusion yet if this is a doc issue or product issue, please contact Rational support to find out more info on the issue.

yes, the conclusion is that CLM5.0 only supports SQL Server 2012 and the doc(wiki page) has been updated accordingly(now you will see the requirements only state SQL server 2012 supported). The main reason for that is Microsoft has ceased supporting SQL server 2008 R2 in July.

The System Requirements for IBM Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) 5.0 as stated on Jazz.net indicate that only SQL 2012 are supported
