Can Project Properties (e.g. Categories in Test Case) be saved as process template ?

Dear All,

In RQM v4, Can customized project properties (e.g. Categories in Test Case or Test Plan) be saved as process template (which can be re-used when project area is initialized)?

Reason is that when copying Test Cases or Test Plans to other project area, the categories have to be same, otherwise error will prevent copying.

Here is the screenshot showing the project properties:

Hi

Please see: https://jazz.net/help-dev/clm/topic/com.ibm.rational.test.qm.doc/topics/t_create_process_template_test.html

In version 4, you can supplement the template with quality management data from outside the process, including test categories, custom attributes, quality objectives, execution states, risk profiles, and artifact preferences.

Thanks

Yes, with RQM 4.0 you can save the categories in a process template and then use that template to create a new QM project area.

Thanks,

For Categories in process template, I am referring to categories in Test Plan & Test Case, and not the categories in Work Item.

When I search in the RQM v4 infocenter, I cannot see process template can include categories in Test Plan or Test Case.

Meanwhile, In the Copy Project Setting section, it says:
You can copy project properties from an existing project to a new project. The project settings that are copied are all the properties that are set in Project Properties.

Can you please confirm:
1) Category in Test Plan or Test case cannot be included in process template. (If I am wrong, please correct me, and provide some info)
2) Is the "Copy Project Setting " method feasible ? If yes, any method to run " copySettings " command automatically after creating new QM project area ?

Thanks,
