RRDI 1.0.2 for CLM 3.0.1.1 on common WAS?
Can RRDI 1.0.2 and CLM 3.0.1.1 co-exist using the same DB server and same application server, in this case WAS? If so, can they use the same domain on different ports (for example 9443 and 9543)?
What are the recommendations for this?
Thank you and best regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
The databases can co-exist on the same DB server. When it comes to co-existence on WAS however, RRDI 1.x can only run on 32-bit WAS, so if your CLM 3.x applications are running on 64-bit WAS, you cannot deploy RRDI in to the same instance. The RRDI system requirements for 1.x state the following: Rational® Reporting for Development Intelligence needs a 32-bit WebSphere Application Server. If your Jazz™ Team Server is running on 64-bit WebSphere Application Server, you must install a new instance of 32-bit WebSphere Application Server for running Rational Reporting for Development Intelligence. If you are on CLM 4.0 and RRDI 2.0 however, that limitation is lifted and RRDI can now be installed on 64-bit WAS (per the RRDI 2.0 system requirements). Hope it helps, |
