Unable to create work items using VS Client

I'm using VS Studio client and RTC with version earlier than 3.0.1.3.
I am unable to create new work items using the VS Client: no work item type can be selected.
Is this a bug?

Found that the same use case is fixed using RTC VS Client Version 3.0.1.3:
with this version, all work item types are displayed as expected,
and I can create work items.
This issue is likely to be similar to jazz.net defect # 188205
https://jazz.net/jazz/resource/itemName/com.ibm.team.workitem.WorkItem/188205
which was fixed in 3.0.1.3.
