IN RRC V2.x there is a capability to compare two snapshot versions of a collection - it will indicate which artifacts have been added to the collection, which have been removed, and which have changed.

You need to open the artifact to see the change.

In RRC V3.x, this collection capability is not available, but you can create a filter that shows all the artifacts for a particular type, folder, etc that has changed between two dates, before a date or after a date.

You would need to use the date of the snapshot in this filter.

The ability to compare using the date concept (as described above) is a decent way to work around this in a live set of requirements. We also have a number of active projects who are using the reporting capabilities to CVS and to Word documents so that they can then use a 3rd party comparison tool to examine the exported files. This will work for current requirements information as well as baselines. It does require that you use a standard view, filter, and template where appropriate to ensure commonality in format and structure.

Speaking from product management we do understand the importance of this type of ability to compare requirements directly in the RDM tool. We expect that we will restore this capability to RRC in a near term release.

Hello,

Sorry to reopen this old post, but you said "We expect that we will restore this capability to RRC in a near term release.". Has it been done yet ? If not, is there a RFE or Workitem on jazz.net we could follow for this feature ?

Regards,
Sylvain
