Schema changes from RQM v2.x to v3.x

Hi.

We have received a request from the testing team for importing the spreadsheet (which contains lot of test cases with Steps, Actions, Expected Results etc )which they have been using for writing the manual test cases into RQM.

Since we have RQM 2.x tool in place I have recommended them to start using the tool.

But I have got few thoughts which goes below.

We are currently on RQM Version 2.X
There are plans to migrate the existing RQM 2.X version to 3.0.1 in another 3-4 months time.
Reading through the Wiki Pages I saw a link which talks about the Notable Schema changes from RQM v2.x to v3.x

Based on this scenario I would like to get some suggestions, best practices to be followed.

Regards
Anoop

Hi Anoop,
It is always recommended to use compatible version of tools. Since you are using Excel Import tool, please upgrade to 3.0.1.x version of excel tool , it will take care of schema changes if any. In general API are backward compatible but that is not always the case. Better to use compatible utility as per RQM version.
