I can't import BPMN model

Unai Mayo (3154) | asked Sep 23 '11, 9:47 a.m.
Hi.
Using RSA4WS 8.0.3 and DM 3.0
I'm importing models from the example project 'Purchase Process Order' included in RSA. I can see the the UML models in the server but not the BPMN model.
Is it possible to import RSA BPMN models into DM 3.0?

Yes, it should work. Here are some troubleshooting tips:

    1) Ensure your BPMN models have the file extension "bpmx"
    2) Try to import a project with only BPMN models. Then, go to the Import Status page and wait until the import completes. Hover over the text in the left column and see how many resources were imported.
    3) If in step 2 there are 0 resources imported, check your import definition to ensure the path names are correct. If in step 2 there are resources imported, press "Refresh" in the Explorer.

Thank you Wayne.
Problem was <Definitions> element in the example business process model had no name (no value in its name property). Once entering a value in this property, import works fine (I can see the business model in the repository). If I erase the value in the name property of <Definitions> element and execute another import, the model disappears from the repository.
Is that the expected behaviour?

Is that the root element? If so, the item may have been filtered out by the "Hide unnamed elements" filter.

To disable the filter: Click the down arrow in the Explorer's toolbar and choose the "Filters..." menu item. By default, "Hide unnamed elements" is enabled. Move it to the "Disabled Filters" column, then click OK.

Yes, it's the root element and you're right, disabling the filter shows the model, so it was really there...
Thank you for your help Wayne.
