How can I create my own Exit Criteria

Hello,

My team requires a consensus to exit our iteration testing; each of us must "sign off" on a build. Currently, we track this in RTC using work item approvals. We'd like to move to RQM for all test artifacts, including the "sign off".

Is there a way to use "Exit Criteria" to show whether everyone has approved? I cannot see a way to add new criteria; I only see a way to add existing conditions.

Thanks,
Martha

Hi Martha,

Exit criteria should work for you. There are two ways that I could see doing this.

The first would be to create a Quality Objective named something like "Final Approval" and set a number of approvals equal to the number of approvers on the team. The each approver could increment then number when they approve and they could add their name to the comment so you would know who has approved. The exit criteria will be successful when all have approved.

The second way would be to create a Quality Objective for each approver and set the number needed to 1. Then the approvers would just set their objective to 1 when they approve.

To create a new quality objective go click the "Admin" button in the upper right of the UI and select "Manage Project Properties". The choose "Quality Objectives". There is an add button in the upper right that can be used to create new objectives. Note that to edit a field in the table the field needs to be double clicked, not just selected.

Best Regards,
Rob
