Design Management 3.0 RC2 Now Available

Design Management 3.0 RC2 is now available from our downloads page.

Hi All,

I just installed the new Design Management 3.0 RC2 on Windows 7, and I think that the installation instructions could be improved.

I installed into C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\DesignManagement\.

I encountered issues because of the way that Windows 7 (and maybe Vista) require EXE's to be run with administrator privileges if they are making changes to files in the C:\Program Files\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\ directories.

Anyway, I suggest that the installation documents are updated to suggest something like:
1. Right-click Start>Accessories>Command Prompt, and then select Run as administrator.
2. Type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\DesignManager\server, or similar

This then works for me. Although I really prefer Linux myself, I guess that an increasing number of people will be finding themselves using Windows 7 at work, for one reason or another.

I'm new around here, so can someone let me know if I should have posted this advice somewhere else?

Rhapsody Design Manager RC3 will be available soon. Currently targeting end of next week for RC3. No plan to have RC2 on jazz.net
