When i select 2 versions of a word document file and compare using eclipse client, it fails to bring up the word compare editor. We're on v2.0.0.2 iFix3. can someone help fix this?

Thanks,

RTC does not ship with any Word compare editor. Do you have a Word comparison tool installed on your machine?

A Word Compare bundle has recently been made available for Windows users. I think i have problems with the inbuit compare editor failing to come up.

The Word comparison tool is part of Eclipse which the RTC client is
built upon. There have been issues reported with newer versions of Word.
I found this in the Eclipse bug database which indicates that the issue
was fixed in Eclipse 3.7.

Should i upgrade my Eclipse client version to 3.7 to get my compare issue fixed? or Should i jus replace one jar file (org.eclipse.compare.win32_1.0.0.v20100120-1420.jar)?

Thanks,
Karthick

I can't recommend upgrading to 3.7 since development on that release has
just started. Trying the JAR may be worthwhile but be warned that there
seems to be some additional problems that have surfaced as a result of
the fix. If you did decide to try the JAR, any feedback you could
provide to the Eclipse team would be helpful, I am sure.
