How do you display Requirements linked within Keywords in Test Scripts?

Our org has recently transitioned DOORS Classic to Jazz ELM and the legacy Test Procedures (Within DOORS Classic) were re-imported into Jazz ETM as Test Scripts. To make procedure modularization a bit easier, I'm going through and turning procedure sub-sections into Keywords to be able to reuse. The Keywords are replacing the previous Test Script steps and are maintaining their Requirements links. Through that process though, the Test Script "Validates Requirements" count is decreasing and the Requirements that are linked within the Keywords are not being statused as Requirements that will be Validated by completing a Test Case Execution Record on that particular Test Script. Is this expected? Seems to be a shortfall for using Keywords if requirements are tagged to those steps.
