Insight to JRS Migration of Reports

Fabian Briseño (9410) | asked May 01 '18, 1:57 p.m.

Hello Everyone.
We recently found out Insight is reaching it´s EOL ( No More Insight), since we still got a few users that are utilizing Insight I was Wondering if:

1. The reports they execute can be migrated or exported to JRS, yes / no,
2. Limitations,
3. Would they have to do all from scratch,
4. Is there a migration path?

Thank you for you help.

Best Regards.

Hello Fabian,

there is no way to move Insight Reports to JRS Report Builder; they will have to be created from scratch.
As at the moment Report Builder doesn't offer all the capabilities of Cognos Report Studio, during the transition, there is the possibility to install a plain Cognos BI and apply the ALM Cognos Connector on top of it to keep using your Cognos reports.

If you have valid CLM licenses you can download Cognos BI free of charge, provided it's only used with CLM data.
