How to update the build toolkit?

Lawrence . (59512) | asked Sep 05 '17, 10:30 a.m.

Hi,

I found a defect that has been corrected in iFix 006 for 6.0.3:
https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=423662

It says: "Can be applied to Eclipse but may also need to be applied to the build engine"

I cannot find any information on how to update the 6.0.3 build toolkit engine in the README for iFix 006.

Can someone please give me the procedure?

Lorenzo,

if you have installed the Build Toolkit via Installation Manager I suggest to use a similar procedure as mentioned for the RTC MS Visual Studio Client. Unzip, point Installation Manager to it and upgrade the installed RTC Build Toolkit from 6.0.3 to 6.0.3 iFix006.

If this works for you please mark this answer accepted.

Unlike Visual Studio, ifix would provide a related zip file for the user to install via Installation Manager, we don't see similar build system toolkit ifix zip file included in the ifix package hence I don't know whether IM way to install build system toolkit would work.
My understanding from other user's experience is that this needs to be provided separately through support team, they need to request a separate package for the build system toolkit for a specific environment at a specific ifix level.
