There is a Report widget saying "The 'Report' viewlet shows results for any selected report resource on the server." but actually it doesn't link to any report created. The query it provides only has very limited parameters. Is there a way I can show report on dashboard?

I have a bunch of reports to choose from when configuring the "Report" viewlet/widget in JKE Banking sample project. If you are talking about custom reports, make sure that they can fit in the dashboard. Check out the below posts on similar topics.

Yes Donald, I was looking for a custom report to be displayed on dashboard. Thanks for sharing the link but I've never used BIRT. Wondering if a general report, such as Burndown chart, can be displayed on dashboard? Dashboard does have burndown widget but the query has very limited parameters so I am unable to get what I want from there. So I just want my own burndown chart to be displayed on dashboard.

How did you make your "own burndown chart"? The last post in my answer does not mention BIRT at all - the reports can be made in Report Builder.
