RTLM and TPM

as far as i understand RTLM is addon product for RQM , i know that with RTLM you can deploy application to remote machine , so the only thing RTLM can't do is deploy OS to machines , so in this case i wonder why do i need RTLM ,just for manage the test machines queue because with TPM i can install everything to remote machines ?

thanks in advanced

Well having both integrated together you can do it from one place. TPM

can discover your machines and they will show up in RTLM and from RTLM
you can install os and other things which will do it through TPM. Also
it presents a simpler interface to the tester than TPM. Yes you can
customize TPM to be simpler but you don't have to hop back and forth
between RTLM and TPM with the integration.

David is hitting the right points.
TPM is an enterprise IT management solution. It is not really targeted at your average tester.
RQM provides a consolidated user experience that strips out some of the "fluff" of the products that we integrate with, providing testers what they need in a (ideally) more intuitive and concise fashion.
In addition to all of the test management capability, RQM also adds some lab management capability not found in TPM in terms of data management.

John
