Plan item breakdown in JRS

All,

I need to create a plan item breakdown report in JRS that will allow users to put in an iteration(s), and see the plan items, and the execution/plan items underneath.

A table like:

ID  |  Summary  | Status  | Owner | hrs/points |
plan item
-----------------(execution/plan items)

something like the above. Seems too simple, but I am new to JRS. Can someone help me get started?

Is your plan item a work item type?  If so create a traceability report starting using a starting artifact of 'Plan Item' and use the appropriate relationship type to the Execution Item.  For example select to start report with 'Plan Item' -> children -> Execution Item.

Then 'Set a Condition' on the Execution Item, by choosing 'Planned For' attribute from 'Execution' Item with an appropriate selection of the iteration

thanks, that kick started it for me...

it's the simple "getting started" that is always missing.
