RTC- Clearcase Synchronizer

Is it possible to implement below use case using RTC- Clearcase  Synchronizer

RTC :

·         One stream in ALM

·         The stream has two components:

o   test_comp_c1

o   test_comp_c2

·         Each component has the following folder and file content:

o   test.txt

o   folder\file1.txt

Base ClearCase:

·         One VOB with two branches

o   test_branch_b1

o   test_branch_b2

·         test_comp_c1 will be sync up with test_branch_b1

test_comp_c2 will be sync up with test_branch_b2

the Please let me know. thanks in advance.

No, an RTC component cannot be mapped to a base-CC branch.
An RTC component can be mapped either to a base-CC vob or to a base-CC "sub-vob component".

to map with base-CC "sub-vob component" , how to create clearcase  synchronized stream.
do we need to use "Import from an existing UCM stream selector ?

When you create the synchronized stream, do not check the "import with history" box.   Then when you get to the "select files to synchronize" section of the wizard, select files from ClearCase.   This will then create a connection between the sub-vob component in ClearCase and the RTC component.  Then you can make changes to the RTC component in the synchronized stream, and those changes will be exported to ClearCase when a "sync" is executed.

actual my requirement is export RTC component data to base clearcase vob ( one directional) for that, what i need to do from clearcase side and RTC side. if you  provide the steps  that will be relay useful for me.

There is no "export only" option, but it is easy to only export ... just don't make any changes (from ClearCase) to the ClearCase branch you are synchronizing with, and then there will be no changes to import into RTC.
