Kin Ng (131) | asked Jan 06 '16, 1:25 p.m.

I searched the whole site for a link to download the Visual Studio Client for VS 2010-12 but can't find any.  We are using RTC 4.0.  I want the client as described here:

Thanks for any help.

Hi Kin,

I believe what you are looking for is located here:

Just perform a ctrl+F for visual studio to find it quicker.

The latest 4.0.x download (4.0.7) is here: and the download archive at provides links to the other 4.0.x and 4.0.0.x versions.
Depending on which version of RTC you have installed you should choose the one that best matches your server.

Thanks for the links but after entering everything and agreeing the the terms, I got to this page only with nothing downloading

Is there something wrong on the page or I need to go somewhere else to actually download it?

I can get to it.

Yes, once you get to that downloads/save page a pop-up is suppose to display prompting you if you want to open or save the file.

I would attempt it using another browser or client. As I was able to get the prompt on both 4.0 and 4.0.7.

It turns out I needed to fill in my profile first.  So I did but got an error saying can't verify location and needed to wait 24 hours.  Ok waited overnight and got an email saying it's all manually fixed.  So I downloaded successfully.

But how do one install the VS client?  I was expecting some kind of exe or msi but all I got was lots of folders with jar and zip files and no readme or anything.  HELP!

This is the file I downloaded:

this is the directory I got

native\*.zip looks like it's for dotnet but all in zip form.

Did I download the right file?

Never mind, it helped if I read carefully.  I need the download manager...ok
