 Hi all,

I've found a lot of questions around inherited project areas (I mean the projects which are using the iherited process from a parent, but I was not able to find something which will help to star with it).

Our goal is to set a project area template then create project areas from this template. And we would like to upgrade the configuration of these projects as we receive feedback from users. To achieve that parent-children relationship appears as the obvious solution. But putting that approach in place is less obvious for me :).

What are the steps to follow (if there is some tutorial, it welcomes) ?

I would like my projects have same work items, attributes, workflows and if possible plan views

The idea is to initiate projects inherited from the parent project and then cascade to all the projects any upgrade in the configuration

Thanks for your help

To implement the process sharing, you can read the following articles as a start:

Here's a tutorial:  Standardize process in your organization by using project area process sharing.

And check out this help topic and its child topics:  Sharing the process of a project area
