RTC Client for Python

Bernardo Vale (1223) | asked Jul 11 '15, 7:39 p.m.
Hello Experts, I've been trying to use RTC Client for Python Development.

I've tried to download Python plugin for Eclipse (inside RTC Client) but it throws some errors and abort installation.

So one simple question come to my mind, Is is possible to develop Python in RTC Client?

If not, what Python developers are using to interact with RTC?

Bernardo,

I tried with Perl plugins for Eclipse and some others and the way it usually worked was: set up your dev environment (e.g. Python) in a regular Eclipse, then install RTC as plugin into that Eclipse (use regular RTC download for Installation Manager). When you fire up the installation manager and install RTC you are given the option to install it into existing Eclipse instance. Installation manager will then investigate that instance and tell you which other plugins or features it thinks are missing.

Which version of Python plugin and Eclipse are you using, by the way?

Hello Arne! Thanks for the tip! I didn't know that RTC could be used like a plugin for Eclipse.

Now it's working fine!
