Why does excel crash when I am exporting test cases from excel to RQM?

I am trying to export a test case from excel to RQM. I have given the URL and my credentials in the 'Export to RQM' box. But as soon as I click on Validate button, my excel crashes. Why does this happen? And how can this be fixed? Thank you.

What is the format of the URL you are providing to the Excel/Word utility?
Also, what version of RQM and the Tool are you using?

Version of RQM is 4.0.4 and the RQMExcelExporter version is 4.0.1.9368

It looks like you are running an older version the Excel/Word utility as compared to your server. The first thing I would do is to uninstall the existing Excel/Word plug in and installed the 4.0.4 version. I cant guarantee this will fix your issue, but never the less, you will need to be a the same version of your sever in order to use the tool
