RTC502 "Date created" vs "Date added" in history view (scm)

Claude MOUREY (9911) | asked Feb 16 '15, 10:37 a.m.
We have just upgraded from 4.03 to 5.02 and we're exploring the new functions.

We have delivered some code since the upgrade. In the history view of a component from our stream, we like having the added by information, about who delivered the change set. However, we see that the Date Created and the Date added are always the same. Actually, we see in the screen capture of the News & Noteworthy something similar in the 2nd screen capture (https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/5.0.1?p=news#AddByInfoInHistoryView)

What is the meaning of Date created vs Date added ?

Thanks

"Date Created" is actually "Date Modified" (you modify a change set by checking a new version into it).
(There is a work item to get that column name fixed.)
"Date Added" is the date you added that change set to the workspace/stream whose history you are looking at.
Note that in a workspace, the "Date Added" value can be later than the "Date Created" (i.e. the "Date Modified") value, if you have checked in new changes to that change set since you added it to the workspace.

We have noticed that complete has the same effect as check-in, ie is changes the "created date" as well. Since complete is implicitly done during deliver, this makes a lot of change sets have the same date for added & created in the stream where you deliver. Maybe it's worth an enhancement ?
